At the end of March, I enjoyed a fun girls' weekend with my Palmer sisters.  We all decided to attend the first ever Palmer Alumnae Retreat in Palm Springs.  The event was held at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa.  It was a gorgeous place to meet up with my sorority sisters.  We spent the weekend eating, laughing, relaxing, discussing life's complexities, supporting each other and reminiscing.  I love that no matter how much time passes our friendships continue with such comfortability and affection.  What a much needed sisterhood break! Ten years ago in July, six of my college sorority sisters and I decided to celebrate turning 30 years old with a trip to the Big Island, Hawaii.  It was so much fun that we wanted to do it again for our 40th. This time we choose Central California as our destination locale.  We rented a house near Grover Beach (near San Luis Obispo) and spent five days enjoying each other and the beautiful area.  It is truly amazing that, even though we do not see each for extended periods of time nor do we speak to each other daily, when we all get together it is like time has never passed.  Twenty years of friendship is truly incredible!  I cannot wait to start planning our 50th birthday trip.  Where shall we go this time?

This past October was amazing!  It made turning forty (gulp...) surprisingly fun.  Every time I looked on the calendar, it seemed like there was another exciting adventure to be embraced. My first exciting adventure of the the month was a Girls Trip to Colorado.  During this weekend trip, I was lucky to have spent my time visiting my cousins, Jodi and Shannon, and Palmer sister, Toni.   On Friday, we spent time pampering ourselves with pedicures, appetizers and cocktails.   Saturday was spent enjoying the changing fall colors with a day trip to Breckenridge via Guanella Pass, Kenosha Pass and Boreas Pass.   And we spent Sunday cheering on the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Stadium at Mile High.  I can officially cross that wish off of my Bucket List.  Thank you, Toni!  I had such a wonderful time!
