Every Friday, the students in Ms. Turner's first grade Neon class had a spelling test.  To assist the kids in preparing for the test, Ms. Turner assigned a spelling word assignment Monday through Thursday as homework.  It looked the same every day except the spelling words changed.  One of the exercises in the homework packet was for the kids to use one of their spelling words to write a sentence.  As the year progressed, I noticed that Ms. Turner would sometimes respond back to Aiden's sentences.  It became a fun game for me to see which sentences Ms. Turner appreciated more than others.  Here are some of Aiden's spelling word sentences and Ms. Turner's responses:

One night in the past month as Josh and I were tucking the kids into bed, I walked into Aiden's room to kiss him goodnight and found him laying in his bed like this: I asked him what he was doing and he exclaimed,  "Chicken feet!"   I started laughing *so* hard.  I love how funny, silly and creative he can be at times.  Where did he come up with this!?! I ran to get the camera and recorded this video: I am still cracking up as I watch this video again and remember this exact moment in my mind -- the night my son wore red gloves on his feet waiving them in the air exclaiming, "Chicken feet!" Aiden, man, I love you so much.  I hope that you continue to make Mommy laugh as we grow older together.

Aiden is a funny, little kid.  Sometimes Josh and I find ourselves laughing out loud at his actions and sayings even when we know that we should not.  We just cannot help it. Some of you may know that Aiden has a catchphrase.  This started about six months ago and he still responds with it several times a week to certain things people say.  His catchphrase is "Oh, Crackers!"  It originates from one of the cartoons the kids watch called Jake and the Neverland Pirates .  One of the characters from the show, Skully, says this certain phrase as least once every episode.  Aiden has just picked up on this and now responds with it in daily conversation with perfect timing and relevance. Anyway, this morning, I was telling Aiden about one of the mice that got caught in one of the traps last night in the house. I further explained that it was stinking up my laundry room.  Aiden, without skipping a beat, responded, "Oh, Crackerpoop!"  It caught J...
