As we reflect on the memories we've made in September 2022, it's incredible to think of all the experiences we've shared as a family. This month was packed with meaningful events, laughter, and treasured traditions that brought us closer together. Labor Day with the Briggs-Calhouns September started with a bang as we spent a delightful Labor Day with our neighbors, the Briggs-Calhoun family. The sun graced us with its warmth as we fired up the grill and enjoyed a barbecue that was as much about good food as it was about creating lasting bonds with those we hold dear. Cheering for Our Local Teams Our family's enthusiasm for sports took center stage this month as we cheered on two of Arizona's pride and joy: the Diamondbacks and the Phoenix Rising. After the craziness of traveling back and forth from California in July and August, we decided to stay home for Labor Day.  We enjoyed swimming and relaxing in our pool.  We also had the opportunity to spend Saturday night with my parents playing cards.  The kids are getting quite good at Hearts.   During the day on Sunday, we had a couple of families over for a barbecue and pool time.  It was a very low key weekend that allowed us to recharge before going back to school and work on Tuesday. The Farrell-Landers family spent our Labor Day weekend in beautiful Mission Bay, San Diego, California.  We rented a waterfront condo that overlooked Mission Bay.  What a perfect location!  It was about a block away from the Giant Dipper, the infamous Mission Beach roller coaster, located in Belmont Park.  Plus, since we were located on the bay-front, it allowed the kids to play in the water while the adults watched from the condo's patio.  The kids loved the playing in the bay.  In fact, they played in the water from sunrise to sunset. The bay-side it allowed the kids a little more freedom in the water since they could wade out into the water and kick around on their boogie boards without worrying about rip tides and huge waves.  We even rented a paddle boat one afternoon as a family to explore the bay from the water.  Although the trip was shorter than we would have liked, we had a fun time relaxing, soaking up some sun and playing in the sand. ...
