November 2023

November brought new opportunities, cherished celebrations, and moments of gratitude for our family. Here’s a look at what made this month special: Madilyn’s Cheer Season Kicks Off Cheer season started at Mountain Sky Junior High, and Madilyn was thrilled to be named one of the cheer captains. Her hard work and dedication were recognized, and she stepped into this leadership role with enthusiasm. Watching her lead the squad and bring energy to the school spirit has been such a proud moment for all of us. A Fancy Birthday Tea Melinda treated me to an elegant tea experience for my birthday. The ambiance was delightful, with delicate teacups, tiered trays of scones, sandwiches, and desserts, and the joy of good company. It was a wonderful way to celebrate and a memory I will cherish. A Night Under the Stars Both Aiden and Madilyn attended the "Night Under the Stars" dance at their school. They got dressed up and spent the evening with their friends, enjoying music, dancing, and ...

Lookout Mountain Activities!

In February, Lookout Mountain Elementary School hosted a couple of fun events for their students.  The first was a Fun Run.  This was a running fundraiser promoted by the school's booster club.  Every class competed against each other to raise money for the school.  The goal for each kid was to run 25-35 laps. BASIS Update ~ GP5

The last grading period of the school year finished on May 18th.  Our entire household was ecstatic!  No more homework.  No more tests.  No more projects.  No more tears.  Just a couple weeks of fun learning and end of the year celebrations.  Although we were happy the grading period ended, our kids enjoyed their last couple of months of school  They definitely took full advantage of all of the fun "stuff" school has to offer them.  They participated in two after school clubs -- dance and Lego.  Madilyn invited Josh to be her date at the Royal Ball which was organized by the school's booster club.  And Aiden ended the year dressing up with his teacher for Star Wars Day (May the 4th).  And somewhere in-between all of the fun, they did manage to learn, problem solve, read, write and memorize "The Star-Spangled Banner".  We are so glad they have such an amazing community to call their home away from home.
