Last Saturday, Madilyn celebrated her sixth birthday with a "girls only" tea party. At the party, the girls colored, had their nails painted and make-up applied to their face. They also had the opportunity to dress up their stuffed animal with a hand-decorated tea party hat. A game of "hot teacup" was played and dance party broke out. The party ended with the ceremonial singing of "Happy Birthday" and cupcakes. Overall, I think that all of the girls had fun. What difference it makes when girls are able to just party on their own. It was one of the most serene yet "girly" birthday parties I have ever seen. Happy Birthday, my sweet Madi! I cannot believe what a beautiful, spunky, smart, artistic, inquisitive, loving and happy little lady you are becoming.
