2 Years Old!

On February 24th, 2010, our world changed more than we could ever imagine.  But what a wonderful world we have now.  Our little Madilyn Rae has grown into such a little lady.  I cannot believe she is 2 years old already! It is incredible to see how much she has changed and grown.  She is so independent, wanting to do everything for herself, saying "my turn" all day long.   Here are some of the things that make me smile everyday about my daughter: Our regular conversation every morning to preschool involves Madilyn pointing out every bus on the way.  She exclaims, "Bus.  Yellow bus.  Bus.  Bye-bye, bus.  See you later!"  Then she moves on to cars and repeats the same dialogue.  So adorable. Her vocabulary has increased so much.  There are days that she will say a word and I have to double take because it is a new word that just popped out of her mouth for the first time.  It catches you of guard, and yet, you are filled with such pride.  Our little bab

Sibling Love

February is the month of love.  Therefore, I felt it was apropos to display pictures of the kids loving each other.  In the past month, they have become quite infatuated with each other.  Aiden enjoys watching and smiling at his sister.  Madi has started to become really concerned with her brother.  She has begun to ask for him when he is not around and even hug and kiss him spontaneously.  Her nicknames for him are "brother" and "baby".  I am relishing in this moment of sibling love as I know one day they may act like mortal enemies to each other.  I am crossing my fingers that this is not the case, but I was a sibling and I know that disliking each other is a right of passage.  In the meantime, enjoy the love.

6 Months Old

Can you believe how fast our little man is growing up?  The past six months have passed by so quickly and I have been terrible at updating the blog about his growth and development.  Well, our baby boy turned six months old this past weekend.  Here are the stats from his well baby visit with the pediatrician on Monday.  We have such a big boy!!! Weight: 19 pounds, 3 ounces (80th percentile) Height: 27.5" (84th percentile) Head Circumference: 17.25cm (66th percentile) Six Months Well Baby Visit Like I said, I have been terrible about posting stats from his previous well baby checks.  Here are his stats from his 4 month old pediatrician visit.  Can you believe how much he has grown? Weight: 16 pounds, 14 ounces (78th percentile) Height: 25.25" (54th percentile) Head Circumference: 16.5cm (59th percentile) Four Month Well Baby Visit Aiden has changed so much.  It amazes me how they change from this tiny, little, helpless baby into this little person who laughs, g

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hoping your Valentine's Day was full of love and happiness.  Aiden enjoyed his first Valentine's Day.  Madilyn excitedly exchanged Valentine's cards and partied with her classmates at preschool.  And Josh and I savored our traditional dinner of grilled cheese and tomato soup surrounded by candlelight.  What a very special day!

in the wild ...

Oh.my.goodness!  In the craziness of having a new baby, mothering a toddler and managing a household, I completely forgot to post Aiden's newborn photos.  I was just talking to an old friend and she inquired about photographers we have used in the past.  She is currently pregnant and would like to have newborn photos taken.  So, what did I do, but tell her to go to my blog and take a look at a sampling of our professional photos.  When I told her to search for Aiden's newborn photo session, she remarked that she could not find them.  I quickly opened up the blog to find them for her and guess what?  They are not there.  How did I miss posting these?  It is not like I have been busy for the past six months.  Oh well. When I was pregnant with Aiden, we had a maternity photo session with Miss Bliss aka Vanessa Gibbs of Bliss Boutique Photography.  If you didn't see those photos, here is my post showcasing those pics -- i heart due dates .  A couple of days after Aiden was bo
