Zoolights!

This year we decided to go to Zoolights on the eve of Thanksgiving. It was a perfect family night out. The weather was cool, but not freezing. Plus, the crowds were minimal. The kids enjoyed running around the zoo looking at all of the different illuminated decorations.

I would have to say the highlight of the evening was when Aiden interacted with Tortuga the talking Galapagos tortoise. The zoo has two interactive animals during Zoolights -- Tortuga, the tortoise, and Jengo, the giraffe.

Tortuga continued to comment on his Batman outfit and asked Aiden questions about the how his night was going. He wasn't afraid at all. It was a hoot! He and Tortuga talked for a good while before we moved away so other kids could enjoy the interactive fun.
