As we welcomed the new year, January brought a mix of challenges and joyful moments for our family. From remodeling our home to celebrating various achievements and spending quality time together, it was a month to remember. Here's a look back at our January 2023 family highlights.
Remodeling Adventures:
With our house damaged from the flood in December, we decided it was time for a remodel. Josh and the kids dove into the demolition process, knocking out the walls in the hallway and office. It didn't take long for the kids to realize that manual labor is not as fun as it looks on TV! Despite the hard work, it was a unique and memorable experience for everyone.
On January 8th, one of Josh’s clients generously gifted us four tickets to a Phoenix Suns game. We had an amazing time, with seats right behind the basket. The excitement was palpable, even though the Suns didn’t win. It was a fantastic night out for the family and an unforgettable experience.
We were grateful to spend the second Shabbat of January at home together. The sunset that night was simply gorgeous, and we cherished the peaceful time together as a family.
January was a busy month for Madilyn with two cheer competitions. She participated in the Valley of the Sun Birthday Bash Cheer Competition and the Spirit Championships. While her team didn’t place at the Birthday Bash, they secured a third-place finish at the Spirit Championships. We are so proud of her and her team’s efforts!
Aiden attended another Junior Assembly class with his friends from school. It’s always great to see him engaging in activities that help him grow and learn.
Madilyn enjoyed a lovely afternoon with her Camp Stein girlfriends. They spent the day baking a cake and hanging out, creating sweet memories together.
The last Saturday of January marked the kickoff of Aiden’s Arrowhead Warrior lacrosse team’s 2023 recreation season at Reach 11. Grandma and Grandpa Farrell came to cheer him on, making it a special day for all of us.
