November 2023

November brought new opportunities, cherished celebrations, and moments of gratitude for our family. Here’s a look at what made this month special:

Madilyn’s Cheer Season Kicks Off

Cheer season started at Mountain Sky Junior High, and Madilyn was thrilled to be named one of the cheer captains. Her hard work and dedication were recognized, and she stepped into this leadership role with enthusiasm. Watching her lead the squad and bring energy to the school spirit has been such a proud moment for all of us.

A Fancy Birthday Tea

Melinda treated me to an elegant tea experience for my birthday. The ambiance was delightful, with delicate teacups, tiered trays of scones, sandwiches, and desserts, and the joy of good company. It was a wonderful way to celebrate and a memory I will cherish.

A Night Under the Stars

Both Aiden and Madilyn attended the "Night Under the Stars" dance at their school. They got dressed up and spent the evening with their friends, enjoying music, dancing, and making memories. Hearing about their night afterward and seeing their smiles was the perfect reminder of how quickly they’re growing up.

OC Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

Aiden participated in the OC Brawl Lacrosse Tournament with Team 48 2030s. The competition was fierce, and Aiden gave it his all on the field. These tournaments continue to help him grow as a player, and we love seeing his passion for the sport shine.

House Renovation Milestones

The house renovation continued to progress, and this month saw a significant change: the patio was rebuilt three feet higher than before. The transformation is starting to take shape, and we’re excited about how the new layout will enhance the outdoor space. Living through the renovation has its challenges, but seeing these updates makes it all worthwhile.

Thanksgiving with Grandma and Papa

This Thanksgiving was a bit different but no less special. Since we’re still living with Grandma and Papa during the renovation, we spent the holiday together at their home. It was a cozy and heartfelt celebration, filled with delicious food and family stories. We are so grateful for their support and love as we navigate this transitional time.

Reflecting on November

November was a month of milestones and gratitude. From Madilyn’s leadership in cheer to Aiden’s achievements in lacrosse and the ongoing progress on our home, there was so much to celebrate. Thanksgiving reminded us of the importance of family and the blessings we have in our lives. As we look ahead to the final month of the year, we carry these warm memories with us.
