August 2024

August marked the start of a new school year and was filled with family time, celebrations, and opportunities for growth. Here’s a look back at the highlights of this memorable month:

Back to School

This month, Madilyn began her journey as a freshman (or freshwoman!) at Xavier College Preparatory. Transitioning from her district middle school to Xavier brought some adjustments, but she has embraced the change beautifully. Madilyn quickly joined several clubs, expanding her social circle and creating new friendships. She even enjoys wearing her school uniform, pairing it with her signature hoodie—a wardrobe choice she sticks with, no matter how high the temperatures climb above 100°F!

Aiden returned to school as an 8th grader, ready to tackle the challenges of his final year at Mountain Sky Junior High. His enthusiasm and readiness for the new school year set the tone for success.

A Visit with Mina and Lynsey

We had the pleasure of spending time with Mina and Lynsey during their annual trip to Arizona. The kids made the most of the warm weather by swimming, while we all enjoyed a delicious dinner at Valle Luna with Grandma and Papa. These moments with extended family are always a highlight and remind us of the importance of staying connected.

Aiden’s 13th Birthday Celebration

Aiden’s 13th birthday was celebrated in style with donuts and Yonuts, a family favorite! It’s hard to believe he’s officially a teenager. The day was filled with laughter, sweet treats, and love as we celebrated this milestone in his life.

NABIP Region 7 Leadership Conference

Jenn traveled to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to attend the NABIP Region 7 Leadership Conference. The breathtaking setting provided the perfect backdrop for learning, networking, and personal growth. It was an enriching experience, and Jenn returned home inspired and excited for what lies ahead.

CBI Madrichim Retreat

To close out the month, Madilyn and Aiden attended the Congregation Beth Israel Madrichim retreat at Camp Stein from August 30 to September 1. We couldn’t be prouder of their decision to volunteer as Madrichim at their temple this upcoming year. This retreat was an opportunity for them to bond with fellow volunteers, develop leadership skills, and deepen their connection to their Jewish community.

Reflecting on August

August 2024 was a month of transitions, growth, and meaningful connections. From back-to-school excitement to celebrating milestones and investing in personal and spiritual growth, it was a time to embrace change and cherish the moments that bring us closer together as a family. As summer fades into fall, we look forward to the new opportunities and adventures awaiting us in the months ahead.
