September was a month of togetherness, progress, and reflection for our family. From meaningful gatherings to exciting steps in our home renovation, here are the highlights of the month: Swimming and Socializing with the Gagniers We spent some wonderful afternoons with the Gagniers (Eric, Dani, Muse, and Sailor). The kids splashed and played in the pool, while the adults enjoyed lively conversation and laughter. These moments of connection reminded us of the joy of slowing down and sharing time with friends. House Renovation Progress The house renovation continued to move forward in exciting ways this month. Framing and headers for the doors were completed, bringing our vision closer to reality. We picked out cabinets, flooring, and granite—each decision adding a personal touch to the space. The installation of the fireplaces was another big milestone, and seeing them in place brought a sense of warmth and anticipation for cozy family nights to come. August was a month filled with road trips, celebrations, and transitions for our family. Here’s a look back at everything that made this month so memorable: Continuing Our California Road Trip We kicked off August by continuing our family road trip to San Jose for Aiden’s final box lacrosse tournament of the summer. On August 1st, we took a scenic drive up the coast, stopping at the Elephant Seal habitat near Piedras Blancas in San Simeon. Watching the massive seals lazing on the beach was a unique experience for all of us. We made another stop in Paso Robles, where Josh and I enjoyed a wine tasting at Alpha Omega, a sister winery of our wine club. Meanwhile, Madilyn and Aiden explored Downtown Paso, shopping and indulging in some local eats. We ended the day in Santa Cruz at the Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park, enjoying rides, games, and a lively coastal atmosphere.
