Madi was extremely lucky this year to have had the opportunity to celebrate her birthday for her entire birth week. The only sad part, I missed Madilyn's actual birthday as I was traveling in Washington, D.C. for work. However, I am not quite sure she even cared with all of the attention she received all week.
Madi had her first birthday celebration at preschool. At preschool, Madilyn shares her actual birthday with another girl named Ashlyn. So, this year the girls decided jointly that they wanted an Ariel the Little Mermaid party. That is all the two girls could talk about for weeks leading up until event.

That evening Madi, Aiden and Josh had their own "little" celebration. I think they just wanted an excuse to finish up the leftover cupcakes.
On the Friday evening of Madilyn's birth week, we celebrated her special day with my parents and Oma. I really think that Madi believes that her birthday lasts an entire week. Either way, we all enjoyed spoiling our little girl.
