The kids didn't have school on President's Day, so I wanted to do something a little extraordinary with them. An interactive candy art experience had opened in October at Scottsdale Quarter. Since we hadn't visited it yet, I thought that we could visit this candy-land together along with my friend Jackie and her kids whom we've known since preschool. What an adventure! In the factory, we were given many different samples of candy like sours, gummies and chocolate treats. The kids were in heaven. Plus, each room in the factory had used various candies to create a different theme including a marshmallow pit filled with foam marshmallows, an underwater-themed wonderland with fantastical candy-covered sea creatures, a magical forest with swings and a rainbow-filled room with flying unicorn pigs. Our favorite part of the experience was having confetti exploded all over us. We were finding confetti in our hair and clothes for the remainder of the day. It was definitely a unique way to spend the holiday.
