December 2022

As we bid farewell to 2022 and welcome the new year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the whirlwind of events that unfolded in December. It's was a month filled with highs, lows, and everything in between. So, let's dive into the adventures that made this December truly unforgettable for the Farrell-Landers family.

A Special Shabbat at the Vorobiof's Home: Celebrating GG's 95th Birthday
We kicked off the month with warmth and joy as we gathered at the Vorobiof's home for a heartwarming Shabbat. The occasion was extra special as we celebrated GG's remarkable 95th birthday, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Aiden's Lacrosse Tournament in Oceanside, CA
Aiden's travel lacrosse team, Team 48, embarked on a journey to Oceanside, CA, for the Legends National Cup. Despite facing tough competition, the boys gave it their all. Although they didn't advance to the winner's bracket on the second day, the experience was filled with valuable lessons and camaraderie.

Home Sweet Flood: Dealing with the Unexpected
Upon returning home from the Oceanside tournament, our cozy abode was met with an unexpected challenge. A water leak in the laundry room resulted in a major flood on the opposite side of the house, turning the east side of our house into a temporary water wonderland. Weeks of restoration followed, with the house resembling a construction zone. Ultimately, we decided this was a sign and we enacted the house renovation that we had been discussing and dreaming of for years.  Josh and I were forced to move upstairs into the playroom, creating a unique bonding experience with the kids.

Madilyn's Cheerful Achievements
Madilyn continued to shine as a cheerleader for her MSJH school team. From cheering on the boys' basketball games to dazzling performances in the WESD Cheer Showcase, she showcased her outstanding spirit and dedication to the sport.

Papa Farrell's Birthday
Valle Luna witnessed our family celebrating Papa Farrell's 75th birthday – a cherished tradition.

Aiden's Lacrosse Triumph
Aiden's Team 48 triumphed in the SoCal Showdown in Temecula, CA, despite battling torrential rain and wind. A testament to resilience and teamwork!

Aiden's Musical Talent Takes the Stage
Aiden showcased his musical talents at Lookout Mountain Elementary School's holiday concert, where he enthusiastically played the bass drum, captivating the audience with his rhythmic beats.

Beachside Holidays in Sayulita, Mexico
A much-needed break awaited us as we boarded a plane to Sayulita, Mexico, where we rented a beachfront house. The sun, sand, and sea provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating Hanukkah and Christmas with a touch of international flair.

The Conrad Resort in Punta de Mita: A Week of Ocean Views and Relaxation
For the conclusion of our holiday vacation, we transitioned to The Conrad in Punta de Mita.  We reveled in ocean views and the luxurious amenities of the resort. Although a bit of family drama awaited us upon our return – a doggy scuffle involving Harley and Alisha's dog – we handled it with love and a trip to the vet.

Welcoming the New Year with the Raetz Family
As we bid adieu to 2022, we joined the Raetz family for a New Year's Eve celebration. The Windsor provided a delightful setting for our final dinner of the year, followed by Jason's impressive fireworks display on the street.

And there you have it – our December 2022 in a nutshell. From the challenges that tested our resilience to the triumphs that brought us closer, each moment has contributed to the rich tapestry of our family story. Here's to a new year filled with love, laughter, and countless more memories!
