It's spring, so love is in the air. What better way to celebrate ones love than to get married in Las Vegas! And that is exactly what one of my sorority sisters decided to do and we didn't want to miss the party. So, we, as a family, drove up to Las Vegas the last weekend in March to attend their wedding. It was a wonderful weekend and a beautiful wedding. I love weddings for many reasons. Everyone is always happy. It is a joyous occasion and everyone is always ready to celebrate.
Secondly, it is a nice reminder for me of the vows one makes to their partner and it makes me strive to incorporate those vows into our life again. I always leave a wedding feeling very lucky to be married to a wonderful man, a terrific Dad and a very patient and understanding husband.
Lastly, weddings are a great reunion. It was so incredible to spend time with sorority sisters that I have not seen in years ~ catching up, laughing and creating new memories. I miss them so much and realize we have a special bond. No matter how long it has been, we are still good friends at heart and are there for each other no matter what else is going on in our lives. I know that I can count on them if I needed them, even though we are states away from each other.
And it was Madilyn's first time in Vegas. We showed her some of the sights ~ the Bellagio Botanical Gardens, some slot machines, The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, and The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino (the newest on the strip). Plus, she experienced her first Las Vegas Buffet on Saturday morning at the Bellagio. Definitely, one of the most impressive spreads I have ever eaten.
We also wanted to thank Gary and Robin for allowing us to stay at their incredible home and for hanging out with Madi so we could attend the wedding childless.
