Independence Day Celebrations

This year, our original 4th of July plans were derailed when Harley went missing on the Tuesday Josh and the kids were leaving to join me in San Diego.  We had planned enjoy the holiday week at a resort right on the beach in San Diego.  However, those plans changed.  Luckily, we did find our dog, but not after a three plus hour search for him.  To his credit, he couldn't come home because he was trapped in one of our neighbor's yard after chasing some sort of animal, we are guessing, into it.  What a racket!

Luckily, we were able to spend the 3rd of July with the Raetz family.  We swam, played Pinochle, enjoyed unhealthy snacks, and ended the evening watching the MVCC fireworks show from our front patio.  It was a great way to celebrate the holiday after all of the craziness that we had experienced in the past week.

We enjoyed a very low-key 4th of July holiday.  We enjoyed some good family time at home and eventually made our way to an afternoon movie, Toy Story 4.  It was a good one.  As always, Disney knows how to make this mom cry.
