April 2023

April was a vibrant month filled with exciting events, heartfelt celebrations, and remarkable achievements for our family. Here’s a detailed look back at the wonderful memories we made.

Aiden’s Cactus Cup Lacrosse Victory:
Aiden’s Arrowhead Warriors lacrosse season concluded with a thrilling end in April. The season wrapped up with the highly anticipated Cactus Cup. This year, Aiden's 12U team of the Arrowhead Warriors clinched the Cup in an exhilarating final playoff game against Scottsdale, the top-ranked team. The match was intense and nail-biting, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. The game was a showcase of teamwork, strategy, and sheer determination. Aiden played with incredible skill and focus, contributing to several key plays that led to their victory. The final whistle blew, and the scoreboard confirmed their triumph, sparking joyous celebrations on the field. The boys hugged each other, coaches beamed with pride, and parents cheered loudly. It was a proud moment for Aiden and a fantastic way to end the season, reinforcing his love for the sport and the camaraderie of his team.

Women’s Seder at Congregation Beth Israel :
Jenn and Madilyn had the privilege of participating in Congregation Beth Israel's Women’s Seder this year. They attended the event with close friends—the Arkos (Natalie and Nicole) and the Pattees (Jamie and Addison). The Seder was a beautiful and meaningful evening where women and girls gathered to celebrate and read the Haggadah together. The setting was warm and inviting, with tables adorned with traditional Passover items and candles casting a soft glow. Madilyn and the other girls were honored to be invited to participate in the reading, adding a personal and special touch to the evening. The sense of community and shared traditions made the Seder a memorable occasion, filled with songs, stories, and the collective spirit of togetherness.

Passover with the Goldsands:
For Passover, we were invited to celebrate with the Goldsands (Jamie’s parents) at their home. The evening was filled with warmth, delicious food, and the retelling of the Passover story. The Goldsands welcomed us with open arms, and the Seder table was beautifully set outside on the patio with all the traditional elements. We enjoyed a meal that included matzo ball soup, brisket, and various Passover delicacies. Sharing this special holiday with friends who feel like family added a deeper layer of joy and connection. The Seder was beautifully conducted, with everyone participating in the readings and songs. We all felt the significance of the tradition and the bonds that were strengthened through it. It was a night of reflection, celebration, and gratitude.

Easter Festivities:
This year, our Easter celebrations were extra fun and festive. The kids had a blast hunting for eggs in the front yard, thanks to Thunderbird High School’s unique fundraiser. They did a fantastic job hiding the eggs, making the hunt exciting and challenging. The sight of the kids' faces lighting up as they found each egg was priceless. After our egg hunt at home, we joined the Landers for a delightful brunch and a scavenger hunt at their home. The brunch was a spread of delicious dishes, from quiches to fresh fruit, and the scavenger hunt was a hit with all the kids. Having all the cousins together was a treat, and we seized the moment to take family photos. The day was filled with laughter, delicious food, and cherished moments with loved ones. The photos we took that day will be treasured memories for years to come.

Madilyn’s Cheerleading Success:
Madilyn’s Arizona Prestige Cheer team participated in another Valley of the Sun competition this month. The team delivered an outstanding performance, showcasing their hard work and talent. They placed first in their division and were named Division Champions. The competition was fierce, but Madilyn and her teammates performed with grace, precision, and energy that captivated the judges and audience alike. The moment they announced the winners was exhilarating, and the team erupted in cheers of joy. It was a fantastic competition, and Madilyn’s dedication to her team and her sport was evident in every move. We were incredibly proud of her and her teammates for their remarkable achievement. Watching her on stage, beaming with pride, was a testament to her commitment and passion for cheerleading.

April was a month brimming with joy, achievements, and meaningful celebrations. We are grateful for the memories we made and look forward to many more wonderful moments together in the months ahead.
