Home Sweet Home

We are happy to announce we are the proud owners of an amazing new home.  With the pending arrival of our second child, we began to search for a new home about nine months ago.  Yes, nine *long* months ago.  As a couple, we quickly realized that we did not always have the same vision for our future home.  That is until we found this one.  From the first walk through, we both knew this house would be perfect for us.  It provides enough square footage for our growing family so we will not have to *ever* move again.  It was turnkey ready which was especially important to me knowing that we would be soon busy with two kds under the age of two, but it still provided the man of the house with several "honey-do projects" to work on for many years.  It is located in an excelling school district.  Plus, one of its best features, it sits at the bottom of one of Phoenix's mountain preserves.  We are so lucky and have such an amazing view.  Along with this superb view, we are also lucky to be visited by mountain preserve wildlife.  We have already seen numerous coyotes which have walked through our prickly pear cactus patch on the outside of our backyard fence.  There are several desert cottontail rabbits who use the cactus patch as their refuge from the coyotes.  And we have a multitude of different avian visitors like woodpeckers, cactus wrens and quails.  However, with this new desert landscape, we have also been visited by a couple of scorpions.  Those are not creatures that I welcome into our new home, but we will just have to be careful and stay on the lookout for them.

We are pretty settled in by now and Madi has adjusted very well.  I was a little concerned how she would react to a new environment, especially after we just moved her to a new preschool.  We also used this move to graduate her to a "big girl" bed and I am happy to report that she loves it.  She has only climbed out of the bed three times and usually waits for us to come get her in the morning.  We are very lucky to have such a great kid.

We are so excited to have found this new home and cannot wait for the many happy memories this new home willl bring.
