Day 4 ~ Magic Kingdom

Day four was the best day of the trip.  It was a rainy one and came with some challenges, but it was still the BEST!

Josh was supposed to run his half marathon early Saturday morning.  However, Mother Nature didn't want that to happen.  RunDisney cancelled the entire run due to rain and lighting.  Josh was disappointed he wasn't able to run, but that also meant that he wasn't sore nor did he have to run in the rain.

Our rainy morning started with breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table.  While at breakfast, we had the opportunity to visit with Cinderella, Aurora/Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Ariel and Jasmine. Madilyn was in heaven.  Aiden was presented with a prince's sword, so he was pretty content as well.

After breakfast, we darted over to the Seven Dwarfs Mine ride.  This is the only ride that we really wanted to ride that I couldn't obtain a Fast Pass.  Luckily, the rain helped detour people away from the park and we were able to ride the roller coaster with less than a twenty minute wait.  We were so excited!

After riding the Mine Train ride, we headed over to Belle's Enchanted Tales.  Josh and I thought that this was just a character meet and greet.  However, it turned out to be so much more.  It was a little re-enactment of the Beauty and the Beast story.  And my kids and husband were chosen to participate. Josh was one of the guards.  Madilyn was selected as one of the horses.  And Aiden was The Beast. We are so glad that we stumbled upon this cute little treasure.

We spent the rest of the day dodging the rain while enjoying the rides and attractions.  We journeyed from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland, Adventureland to Liberty Square, Main Street to Frontierland. We rode all of the rides we wanted to ... it's a small world, Peter Pan, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain twice.  We only had one uh-oh moment.  After lunch something must not have settled well in Aiden's tummy because he decided to throw up right in the middle of the Pirates of Caribbean ride.  Luckily, I had a ball cap for him to use.  I guess the bright-side is that I got to buy a new ball cap.  However, after the ride, he was feeling much better and continued to ride all of the attractions, even the roller coasters.  Crazy kid!

As an afternoon break, we wandered back to Main Street to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade.  It was very well done.  It also helped that the sun had finally decided to shine for a brief moment which made the parade even better.

The only attraction we didn't get to see while in the Magic Kingdom were the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show.  We could see them from the hotel every night, but we sadly, with the rainy weather and tired kids, we were not able to stay in the park until closing.  But we, at least, got a final nighttime photo with the castle.  It truly was a magical vacation!
