Laguna Woods Trip ~ Pretend City

While in Laguna Woods last month, we decided we wanted to explore the area a little more to see what fun and new experiences were available to us. Luckily, there is a gem right down the street from GG and GP's house named:

Pretend City is an adorable interactive exhibit for children to pretend and have hands-on experiences throughout a miniaturized city. They have everything from a health center for doctor check-ups and dental visits, a amphitheater with costumes for dress-ups and perfomances, a police and fire station alongside a gas station, a construction site and farm with these cool rubberized pieces of dirt and tons of plastic vegetables and fruits to plant and harvest, a marina with a fun water area to play with little boats and go fishing, a sandy beach for sand play, a library to read books and pretend to be a librarian, and an art studio to color and paint to their heart's content, just to name a few.

Our kids *loved* this excursion. Madi enjoyed dressing up in a princess dress and princess heeled shoes. Aiden enjoyed riding the motorcycles and running to see the real baby chickens they had on the farm. And the adults had fun laughing at the kids as they ran from pretend station to pretend station. It was a fantastic new environment for our kids to use their imaginations and expend some energy.
