This summer Madilyn requested to participate on swim team again. I guess she really enjoyed herself last summer even though it started out pretty rocky. So, we signed her up for the summer swim team through the City of Phoenix. On the first day of swim team, Madilyn walked right up to her coach, followed her instruction, and dove right in the pool for practice. No tears, no hesitation. It still amazes me how much a kid can grow in just the course of a year.
All summer Madi has been truly excited to go to swim team each morning at 7:30am. Even just over the course of the past five weeks, I can tell how much stronger and more proficient her swimming technique has become. She has expressed that she would like to continue swimming this fall, so we may be looking into a club team for her to join. I see many, many swim meets in my future.
