On Saturday, April 8th, all of the students at BASIS Phoenix Central performed in a Spring Concert. The school organized it so that each of the classes would perform by grade level at various times during the day. Luckily, our kids' performances were back to back times. The performance was held at the Phoenix College Bullpitt Auditorium. It was a great space to watch the kids perform. Both of our kids did amazing. No fear, no jitters. They each walked out on stage and did their very best. It was pretty adorable.
Aiden's grade performed at 10:00am. Aiden, technically, performed twice. Once with all of the kindergarten classes to exhibit their Chinese language skills. The second time he performed with his classmates. Ms. Fox selected the song, "Under the Sea." The kids were encouraged to dress accordingly. Too cute!

Madilyn's performance was at 11:15am. She only performed once, and sadly, she was very hard to see due to the way they arranged the kids. She is way in the back, behind some tall boys, on the right hand side when looking at the stage. In first grade, the kids attend music class once a week. The teacher on the stage with the kids is Ms. Facciuto. She is the music teacher. This year, Madilyn has learned a lot about music including the scales, musical instruments, different types of music and composers, and rhythm. It has been one of Madi's favorite classes and teachers. Madi's class performed "Pack Up Your Troubles" and had fun playing kazoos during the song too.
