Madilyn Rae is at such a fun age. She is learning so many new things daily. We cannot keep up with all of the fun new sayings and developmental stages that she is mastering.
- To date, she can count from one to five. Sometimes she makes it to six and then skips all the way up to nine and ten.
- She knows her colors pretty well. Her favorite colors tend to be yellow and purple and pink.
- Coloring is still one of her favorite activities. She has begun to make actual shapes now on paper like circles and squares.
- Madi also loves to go "shopping". Anytime we get into the car she asks if we are going shopping. She thinks go to anywhere but preschool or the park is shopping. We have already created a monster.
- She loves playing soccer. She "kicks da ball" to make a "goal, soccer goal". Here is a video of Madi playing soccer at preschool. Maybe we have our next Mia Hamm.
- Madi enjoys playing with her puzzles and is actually quite good at placing the pieces in their correct spots.
- She is still a big fan of Elmo. Although, we have started to introduce her to some new shows as the Elmo episodes have started to repeat themselves.
- Madi had some fun new sayings like "Told you, Daddy" or "I want to." Here is a video of her saying one of her other favorite sayings.
- Bath time is one of Madi's favorite nightly routines. After dinner, she immediately goes into the bathroom, takes off her clothes by herself and throws all of her bath toys into the tub so it is ready to be filled. Once in the tub, she sometimes cries as we wash her hair or gets upset if Aiden wants to play with her toys, but for the most part, this is a time when both kids are happy. Madi's favorite tub toy is a plastic purple octopus. However, as you will see in this video, it is not an octopus, but rather something else. We cannot help but laugh everytime she calls this toy the "other" name. It is hilarious!
