Surfing, Sun and Cousin Fun

While in Avila Beach, the Vorobiofs had also decided to enjoy a short three day family vacation in Pismo Beach.  It was the perfect opportunity to have some quality cousin time.

Wednesday afternoon was spent   bike riding around Avila Beach.  We first rode over to Hartford Pier to check out some of the sea lions and crab fishing nets.  We then connected with the Bob Jones Bike Trail.  It was a beautiful ride and fairly easy for all of the kids.

Thursday night, we joined their family for dinner and ice in Pismo Beach.  We went to Giuseppe's Cucina Italiana.  Amazing pasta and Italian food.  Great company and conversations, too!

Friday morning, Josh, Gabe and all of the kids took surfing lessons in Pismo.  This was a much different experience than the lessons our family took in Avila.  The waves are much bigger and much harder to navigate in Pismo than in Avila.  But, the kids and the guys really didn't mind.  And all of them did get up on their boards at least once.  While they all surfed, Alisa and I watched and took pictures from afar on the sand.

We are so lucky that the Vorobiofs were vacationing so close to us.  We loved hanging out with them and getting to know them better.  Plus, it was great to see the kids all get along so well.  Maybe we can make this an annual occurance.
