Yesterday, Madilyn performed in her spring dance recital at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. For the past five months, Madi has been attending Mrs. Sally's Ballet I class at Dance Theater West every Wednesday afternoon. This year's recital theme was Peter Pan. Madi's class danced to "I Won't Go Up." They all made adorable little Peter Pans. I am so proud of our little ballerina. She showed no fear and danced her little heart out.
I am so impressed how much more graceful she looked from just a year ago. I give huge kudos to Mrs. Sally. She is an amazing teacher and has been such a positive influence in Madilyn's life. She announced yesterday that she will be retiring from Dance Theater West. We have such mixed emotions. Madi will miss having her as a dance teacher, but we are so happy she will be moving on with the next chapter in her life. Maybe now, we will have more time to see her socially. Love you, Mrs. Sally!
