A "Farrell" Christmas Eve

On the Thursday before Christmas, we gathered at my parent's home to partake in a "Farrell" traditional Christmas Eve.  When my mother was growing up, every Christmas Eve her mother gave her two presents on Christmas Eve -- pajamas and an ornament.  So, my mom continued the tradition with Lynsey and I when we were growing up.  And now, that we are are all grown and have kids of our own, she has continued the tradition with her grand-kids.  It is a cute tradition.  So, this year, we provided this tradition its own special night before the real Christmas Eve.  My family loved it!

The special "Farrell" Christmas Eve included opening the gifts in our stockings.  Eating lobster.  Playing giant Connect Four.  Opening our pajamas and ornaments.  And taking family photos in our pajamas.  What a hoot!
