Vancouver ~ Day 1

While the kids were on their own adventure at Camp Stein, Josh and I decided to take advantage and take a trip of our own.  Destination: Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada.  It had been on our bucket list for a while as neither of us had visited there before.  It was, hands down, one of the best vacations we've taken together.

Day one was spent sightseeing around the city.  The weather included on and off showers, but coming from over a hundred degree heat, we didn't mind.  We mostly spent the day wandering the neighborhoods of Chinatown, Gastown and Downtown.  We visited the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Chinatown and the Vancouver Art Gallery in Downtown Vancouver.  We enjoyed some  "drinking chocolate" while we watched the rain drizzle outside.  It was like drinking pure molten chocolate from a cup.  Delish!  And we concluded our day window shopping down the stone cobbled streets of Gastown and the more commercialized Robson Street.

It is a bicycle friendly town.
They even have separate traffic lights for them.
