Miscellaneous Moments ~ Fall 2019

Besides all of the sports events, school activities and travel schedule, our fall was also full of other miscellaneous moments of fun and craziness.

This fall seemed to be a particularly rainy one.   Now that the kids ride the bus, they had to walk to the bus stop with umbrellas one rainy morning.  I am also happy to state that our pool survived all of the rain and we didn't end up having a mud-pit again this year.

Our kids also used this fall to build cardboard box forts in their playroom.  They really enjoyed creating doors and multi-room forts.  They spent many a fall weekends living and sleeping in these creations.  I love how creative and imaginative their minds can be when they are not glued to their electronic devices.

Lastly, this fall, Aiden *finally* lost his first tooth.  He was such a late bloomer.  Most of his friends (and sister) lost their teeth much younger.  Aiden tried several tricks to loosen and lose his teeth.  One on them being using a Nerf gun to shoot them out.  He was focused on getting them out.

In addition to losing his first couple of teeth, Aiden also had a couple of his teeth pulled by the dentist because the adult teeth were coming in behind the baby teeth.  This challenge didn't allow the adult teeth to push the baby teeth out.  He was so brave and very funny under the nitrous oxide (laughing gas).  He saw things on the ceiling that didn't exist and also enjoyed giving the dentist a hard time moving his hands up to his mouth as the dentist worked.  The Tooth Fairy visited several nights that week as Aiden parceled out the allotment to one tooth a night.  We are not sure if he thought he would get more money that way or if he just liked having a prize to find each morning.  Either way, he was a very happy boy!
