Rosh Hashanah 2019

Rosh Hashanah was very late this year in the Gregorian calendar.  It didn't start until September 29th.  As a part of the fourth grade religious school curriculum, Madilyn is required to participate in a chug (elective) of her choice.  She selected choir this fall and was asked to sing during the Erev Rosh Hashanah service.  She was so excited!  Aiden, as you will see, was less than thrilled to attend the evening service to see his sister perform.  I think that he was also mad that he had to wear something nicer than sports shorts and a tee shirt.

We also attended the morning Rosh Hashanah service where we joined the Pattee/Goldsand family in the back of the sanctuary.  This has become our annual ritual.  It makes the service so much more fun, especially when the service seemed to extend way longer than expected.

As in years' past, we joined the Pattee/Goldsand family for dinner at Rich and Trish's home.  It was a lovely dinner and we love that the kids play while we enjoy some adult-time.
